I need to....

....blog more often! It's been quite the week! I will elaborate, but in shorts spurts...

Day #1 (sunday 4/5)- Jill and the rugrats arrive in San Antonio a teeny bit late, but they were safe! Met our new nephew, Dakota. He's adorable! :)

Day #2 (monday 4/6)- Work. Want to quit soon, and am going to VERY SOON! (stay tuned for that one) Taught dance. Watch DWTS and such after teaching.

Day #3 (tuesday 4/7)- Work, really want to quit after my boss screams at me on the phone. Didn't have to teach dance, so I took Jill and the kids to the outlets in San Marcos. We got our hands washed at "Bath Junkie" and that was pretty fun. Went home, cooked dinner, watched DWTS and AI. Sleep!

Day #4 (wednesday 4/8)- Work. Want to shove hot pokers into my boss' eyes. Notice I have several missed calls from Jill, she is very sick so I go home. She was very, very ill and in severe pain. I take her and the rugrats to the ER, she goes in and gets tested. Turns out she had a huge-normous kidney stone, she gets admitted into the hospital (nice vacay, right?) Go home and collapse. We have our first official experience being "parents" of a 2, almost 3 month old baby boy. (Up 3 x's for feeding and changing and he pee-pee'd on our bed like a lil' sprinkler.....ha! Oh well, we survived!)

Day #5 (thursday 4/9)- No work even though I need the money. Go to the hospital to wait for Jill to go into SURGERY! They get the stone out, thank God! We leave and take the kids out to get some food and then head home. I pick Jill up and take her home 2 hours after they said she'd be discharged (I should have taken a picture of her discharge nurse, ha!) Home, collapse and one more night with the lil' one. No prob! We're such pros!

Day #6 (friday 4/10)- Spend the majority of the day waiting around while Matt is on the phone fighting with Expedia, then Airtran, then Expedia.......I think you get the pattern. They wouldn't work with us even though Jill had an emergency surgery to remove an enormous Kidney stone, nice! Take the kids to see Monsters vs. Aliens.....good times! Dallas wanted popcorn during the movie and did not ask properly and when I asked him how to ask nicely he struggled then said "I forgot!" LOL! Bill Miller's fried chicken and green beans for dinner and then a much needed collapse into bed.

Day #7 (saturday 4/11, today)- Bo (jill's hubby) is on his merry way to Cibolo, TX from Lagrange, GA and making excellent time. We took the kids to an easter egg hunt and I got claustrophobic. Went to Nordy's to exchange my easter shoes for a smaller size and to find a necklace for ma' dress. Also went to Target and such....phew!

Why is it that all my Easters have been really odd weather-wise? Random? Yup! It's true though! First year it was freezing! Second year it was rainy and windy! This year? The forecast said that it will be cloudy and not sunny, but maybe the sun will come out? I hope so! I think our Savior's resurrection deserves a beautiful sunny day! We shall see, right?

So, there you go....I am now watching "Enchanted" again....don't mind much cuz I love this movie. Have a Happy Easter(s) y'all!

Easter Outfit

Here are pictures of the dress and shoes that I will be wearing for Easter this year. It is a tradition that my mom and dad buy me an easter dress and shows (sometimes it included a hat, but not this year). Enjoy!

Nice day for...

Garage sales! Cuz that's exactly what I'm doing right now. We have already sold our bookcase and our couch. Also several items of clothing and purses. Rock on! Hooray for Mexicans! ;-)

My opinion counts!

So, today I'm gonna voice my opinion on AI and the results of DWTS....

To start off, I am not in the least bit surprised about the two removed from DWTS last night. In all honesty, they should have already been removed before now, but their time had finally come.....good riddance to Holly "big boobs magee" Madison and Steve "no rhythm, makes my eyes burn" Wozniak. Next week, who knows? All I know is that my top four couples are Melissa and Tony, Shawn and Mark, Gilles and Cheryl and Lil' Kim and Derek. Don't agree? Then you are blind! ;-)

Ok, now on to AI.....My thoughts on the contestant's performances last night:

*Adam- His voice isn't bad, he just screeches and I hate listening to that. He was compared to Mick Jagger and Steve Tyler last night, but they are different. Sorry, but he shouldn't be ranked with them. He screams into the microphone and I just cringe when I hear it! Last week, amazing, but last night (as simon would say) atrocious!

*Allison- She sang "Don't Speak" better than the original. I love Gwen, but she cannot sing live to save her life....I'll bet she thanks her lucky stars for all the things they can do nowadays to tweak your voice to make it good. Anyway, Allison's performance was so-so and her ensemble was hideous! Ugh! Wow, when she walked on stage I wanted to throw-up it was so nasty!

*Anoop- As Kevin put this morning on FB, is there anyone who isn't as full of himself as Anoop? Probably not! He was a wannabe Usher last night and I hope he gets cut tonight.

*Danny- I only have love for him. His voice is great. He has such passion when he sings that the other contestants cannot compare. Yay for Danny!

*Kris- I have grown quite fond of this feller! He has become one of my favorites and I do believe that he is going to go pretty far as long as he stays true to what he does best. By the way, he looks like a chimp when he sings.....lol!

*Lil- Hated the song, the dress was ok (it highlighted her assets a lil too much, dontcha think?) But I don't think that she has a strong enough voice for the competition.

*Matt- I haved loved listening to his bluesy, soulful voice....but last night was not good at all. I liked the concept of what he did, but his voice gave out and he could have done a lot better. He might be in the bottom again tonight (let's cross our fingers that he's not).

*Megan- Um...ya, she should have not sung that song. Her voice is too warbly for what she sang. She definitely would have been better suited for an Adele, Joss Stone or Duffy song....that's what she does best and she just can't pick the songs! Poor girl! I do love her individuality though.

*Scott- Loved his version of "Just the Way You Are"...love that song! He is definitely a Billy Joel-esque guy! He is so very talented and he just needs to keep doing what he does best and do what he did last night. He is safe tonight for sure!

As far as the judges go can I just say that I cannot stand Paula Abdul? Her stuttered word fragments drive me nuts! On the other hand, I don't think that Kara ever has enough time to speak her mind. So the solution to this predicament would be to finally fire Paula and just keep Kara, right? Lets write Fox a letter demanding the immediate removel of Paula Abdul, at least for next season! Come on and join me in my crusade to bring her down! ;-)

Well, that's all I have to say. I hope you enjoyed and if you aren't watching these shows then I hope to inspire you to do so! Have a great "hump-day"!
