Staying at home and cleaning.....

Today Matt and I stayed home and cleaned....oh wait, there's more! I made breakfast for us! I made an attempt to make blueberry pancakes from scratch (with fresh, not frozen, blueberries) for Matt and my first attempt at a ginormous Dutch Baby for myself! Well, I'd have to rate myself a 7 on a scale from 1-10. I definitely think that they tasted good, but I know I could be better! Next weekend would be a good idea to try try try again! Matt successfully made oak smoked steak fajitas today with homemade (from HEB) tortillas. They were totally yum! :-D

Did I mention that I love being at home? I'd love to not work and stay at home and make my house all spick and span! (sp?) I would thoroughly enjoy preparing meals for my husband before he got home, not just slopping something together because I'm worn out and stressed out! I sometimes miss those days in our tiny, old apartment in Citrus Heights. We didn't have much room, but we didn't need it! (Actually, we did or at least my clothes did....lol!) I didn't work all day and I could finally test my cooking skills. Lemme tell ya, I'm not half bad, I love to experiment, I can follow a recipe and I've never set my kitchen on fire (sorry dani). I just wish that my life was simple like that again. *huge heaving sigh* Maybe one day! Pray for me! ;)

Talk to y'all later.....I'll post some fun/funny pictures later!

Mmmmhhhm. It's all fun and games till Dani get's made fun of :-) I'll have you know, I've come a long LONG way.

I agree. Staying at home is the best. Yes, it can get a bit dull at times, wishing you had a chance to dress up and not always wear sweats or t-shirt & jeans, but in the end, it's very rewarding to be able to stay home and take care of your family & watching the Foodnetwork channel - learning how to make new meals and such.

Hope you guys get to do that soon! Work sucks :-)
